And still...

Take Me To Post Comment Form

We're dealing with the stupidity that is called the VA...my husband medically retired 2 mos ago and according to the "new and improved" system his VA paperwork should of been in the system the day after he retired...notice the word "should" because here it is 2 mos later and he's getting letters from the VA stating that he is NOT service connected. I'm sorry but PTSD, TBI and back injuries aren't service connected?? ohhhh it must be from..ummmm...hmmmm...someone explain that to me because I'm slightly lost...

And when we try to find out the information its like jumping through hoops to get someone to 1 answer their phone or 2 return a call...I sat on the phone one day for 67 mins waiting to speak to someone from the VA only to be transferred to talk to someone else who didn't know the answer..thanks for wasting almost 2hrs of my time and minutes there VA..

My husband has a VA case manager but once again we've called..left messages...called..and oh yea left messages. The only time she has returned the messages is when I threatened to go sit outside her office til she found out the answer. I shouldn't have to do that...period!

This whole new and improved process was suppose to make things easier for disabled vets, so they didn't have to deal with the bull that vets of past conflicts dealt with and instead it's still there..

So now its been 2 mos and lets add on top of that the 6-8 mos wait we have til the husband starts to receive his VA pay and we're doing fantastic. I would love for someone from the government to figure out how to live and take care of a family & bills on less then $2300 a month and do it without public assistance and help. It sucks! Our savings is almost gone and we're barely floating by...but wait that doesn't matter to the people who get a decent paycheck from the government to take care of our Wounded/Disabled vets...*sigh*

So I guess we'll continue to fight...and fight...and fight and hopefully in the mean time it doesn't burn us out
