Rincon may be taking a look at mosquito control.
Interim City Manager Wesley Corbitt told council members Monday night that the city could do select spraying for mosquitoes for $500 per month.
“We can spray the whole city for $1,500 a month,” he said. “It’s something we may want to take a look at for our citizens.”
The city has about 60 miles of streets and roads to cover through a ground-spraying effort. An aerial system, however, is likely out of the question because of its expense.
