The Hilton Head Island Packet has reported that the town of Hardeeville across the river has appointed former Rincon city manager Mike Phillips as its interim city manager.

And if you live in or visit Lost Plantation frequently, two street names are about to change. Dressler Road will become Dresler Road and St. Andrews Way will become St. Andrews Road. The request was made by the homeowners association, and as city planning director Lameisha Kelly explained, Dresler was spelled differently on sections of the road, and St. Andrews Way would become St. Andrews Road and then go back to being St. Andrews Way again.

The road name changes will go into effect Nov. 1, and the HOA will be responsible for the cost of the signs. About 40-50 homes will be affected by the road name change.

It's not Drivin' n Drinkin'
August 15, 2014
Having attended a show recently, the band’s lead singer closed their set with his usual mantra of “tip your bartender, tip your friends, tip your mom and remember, life is too cheap to drink short wine,” and then advised the crowd to do this: “If you’ve been drinking, call a ...
