Artificial Intelligence- A glimpse to a new era

Take Me To Post Comment Form

Albert Einstein once said, "It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity." Roger that Einstein! We couldn’t agree more with what he said. Technology has indeed surpassed the human capabilities that has also enhanced our living standards by several means. Scientists are making remarkable inventions and discoveries in the field of technology and Artificial intelligence is one of them. The concept of Artificial Intelligence is to make the machines capable of thinking and interpreting more efficiently than humans. It’s just a matter of time and we will see machines are replacing humans in every field.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has played an essential role in making machines/devices more advanced and human friendly. AI is the reenactment of human knowledge forms by machines, particularly computer systems. These procedures incorporate learning (the procurement of data and standards for utilizing the data), thinking (utilizing the tenets to achieve surmised or clear conclusions) and self-improvement. Specific utilizations of AI incorporate master frameworks, discourse acknowledgment and machine vision.
Al is in verge of becoming mainstream in technology sector as scientist and professionals are still digging into it. Many think that if it would further progress then it is more likely to take over the world. As some very smart people like Elon Musk, Bill Gates, and Steven Hawking warn of the dangers of AI getting so powerful it dominates humans. Besides discussing on the future setbacks, let’s give a look at what Al is capable of so far

Speech recognition

Who likes dumb and boring devices when there are the ones that would operate through your voice command. Yes! Speech recognition on your mobile or computer devices will provide you to engage with your mobile/computer devices directly through talking. Google Assistance, Siri, Amazon Alexa and Cortana are the few examples. It’s the time to keep your thumb at rest and let your voice do the working.

There are many professionals and engineers who have made countless efforts and research in this field. William Meisel is one of the name who wrote several books and research papers on AI that were a great help for the scientists.
Dr. William Meisel is known to be a trailblazer in the field of artificial intelligence especially speech and natural learning interpretation technology are his key expertise. He has done BS from Caltech and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. He has also been granted several patents for his work in AI. He has founded a speech recognition company called “Speech System Incorporated” in 1991 that has built speech recognition technology. He is the editor and publisher of the newsletters on ‘Language User Interface’ at the LUI News. His speech recognition technology has benefitted many big and small business in making different applications and services.

Making Human life easier

AI is programmed to do what humans can’t do best. Humans are not capable to do any task without any errors or mistakes. Though, machines could also have glitches but they are programmed to do error free task within seconds. This is what AI is designed to create perfectionism and accuracy in your work.

AI is the new doctor

According to survey, most deaths have been reported are because of the wrong diagnoses by doctors. Artificial intelligence comprising of accurate diagnostic system, treatment procedures and surgical robots would provide great benefits to the health sector in the long run.
AI has marked a new era of technology providing wider range of benefits that are enhancing the living standards. Like any other technology, AI can be threatening when misused. No wonder if we would see sci-fi dystopian movies like Terminator or Matrix becoming reality.
