The runoff is Tuesday and the two GOP gubernatorial candidates are pushing hard for the finish line.
If you’re in Atlanta on Monday, Sarah Palin will be making an appearance on behalf of Karen Handel. The former Alaska governor is the featured speaker at an event at the Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead.
Handel will be introduced by U.S. Rep. Tom Price, a member of Georgia’s Congressional delegation. Her opponent, Nathan Deal, gave up his seat in the House of Representatives to run for governor.
Deal is boasting of his endorsements from 70 members of the Georgia House of Representatives, including Speaker David Ralston and Speaker Pro Tem Jan Jones. Among that list is Ron Stephens of Garden City. Deal is counting five of the current Republicans in the Georgia U.S. House contingent among his endorsements. Price is not one of them. Nor is Jack Kingston, to this point.
